THE GHOST OF SANTA FE

GHOST -

Enter doorways to cracked plaster and floors,
A disaster, this space once filled so much more,
Left behind, forgotten, for a soul unaware,
Something's in here, not alone in here,
Am I alone in here?
... Alone's all I fear ...

Your shadow cast, leaves me chasing after ghosts,
Inside these halls, still screaming your echoes,
Of all that you, all you drained from this place,
And everything that remains I have to save,
I've become my own, prisoner ... to Santa Fe ...

Specs of chipped paint flaking loose and falling down,
If these walls did talk, what would they say to you now?
Everyone walked out, while I stood motionless waiting,
Something's in here, not alone in here,
Am I alone in here?
... Alone's all I fear ...

Your shadow cast, leaves me chasing after ghosts,
Inside these halls, still screaming your echoes,
Of all that you, all you drained from this place,
And everything that remains I have to save,
I've become my own, prisoner ... to Santa Fe ...

Desperate to fix every nail, every weld,
Regain reputations brick and mortar held,
This battered estate, must remind me how great,
Our world was, it could have been ...
The ghosts I'm chasing again ...
